I Used Writing as a Coping Mechanism, It Helped
Writers start writing for different reasons. Some do it as a hobby, some as an occupation, and to me, It was the ultimate coping mechanism

I was going through a rough patch in life. It wasn’t unexpected, but It was quite hard. Before any of that, I used to write from the moment I could. I mean, from early childhood I was writing as a hobby. In those years, what I wrote swirled around whatever the book I was reading at the time. So, most of my writings were fan fiction.
Then with time, I gave up something I fell in love with and started wasting my life away. It was inevitable that I’m destined to suffering by my own hands. But, somehow It didn’t. When I was almost at the bottom, I thought to myself, if this is the way I’m going down, I might write it so someone else won’t follow my ways.
A Decision that paved the way
